However, with a little bit of love, finesse and the addition of a few tasty ingredients, cabbage can become a mouthwatering and taste bud tantalizing dish. YES, REALLY!

Easily transform that bland ball of cabbage into something worth writing about by making this Caramelized Cabbage Saute.

How To Make Caramelized Cabbage Saute
  • 1 medium head green cabbage (cut into ¾” slices)
  • 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp grass fed butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • Sea saltandpepperto taste
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook 3-4 minutes until soft.
  3. Add garlic, stir and cook 30 seconds.
  4. Turn up the heat to medium-high and add ⅓ of cabbage.
  5. Stir and mix together with onions and garlic.
  6. Let the mixture sit and the cabbage brown slightly.
  7. Turn the cabbage over using a spatula to brown the other side.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Add another ⅓ of the cabbage and 1 tablespoon of butter.
  10. Flip cabbage after 2-3 minutes.
  11. Add the rest of the cabbage and butter and brown to your liking.
  12. Season with more salt and pepper if desired.

Simple, tasty and ready to eat.
