Did you know that most of your digestion issues may be caused by a parasite or yeast overgrowth?

When your digestive bacteria falls out of balance, it can be from a number of reasons such as pharmaceutical drugs, chemicals and pesticides, stress and contact with infected sources, including other humans and animals.

Like yeast overgrowth, parasite infections run rampant in today’s world. Unfortunately, yeast overgrowth (including, but not limited to, yeast infections) are often a sign that there is a problem that is much larger in your body. All of these stem from your immune system, 70-80% of which is located in your gut.

Studies have found that most people, especially those with chronic diseases and cancer, are host to at least one kind of parasite.

 

What Are Parasites?

Parasites are living organisms that burrow themselves into your body and can live anywhere in your body. They especially love damp places and this is where they thrive. The real downside – they literally eat your nutrients!

Parasites can cause health problems such as bloating, cramps, diarrhea, allergies, , anemia, weakened immune system, mucus or blood in stools and even affect your mood with anxiety or depression. 

Picking them up is easier than you think: restaurants with poor hygiene, holidays abroad with impure water, pets and animals.

Do You Have Parasites?

Yes. You have parasites. Everyone does. This is just a part of life. The reason why we don’t hear much about parasites is because our old family traditions have been lost.

Do you remember your Grandparents drinking cod liver oil? This was also a form of parasite cleansing. Amish people parasite cleanse! They cleanse every 6 months because they know it’s necessary for optimal health.

The ideal environment for parasites to live and grow in our bodies is promoted by a diet that includes sugar, processed and GMO foods, pharmaceutical drugs, raw fish (sushi), undercooked meat (specifically pork) and even inadequately washed fruit and vegetables. The typical Standard American Diet promotes the perfect environment to host multiple types of parasites.

Some of the biggest symptoms of having a parasite infection are intense sugar cravings, bloating and always feeling tired.

 

How Do You Get Rid Of Them?

With this simple cleanse! If you parasite cleanse consistently and eat a whole-foods, plant based diet, you can be sure to keep these suckers under control.

To get rid of parasites and fungi (yeast) in the body, there are 3 things you should know:

1. The parasites must be killed.

2. They must be flushed out of the body.

3. The body must be supported in healing and regenerating itself in the process.

How often do I need to perform a parasite cleanse?

We recommend doing this cleanse every six months. We also recommend a weekly dose of the herbs once a week for the rest of your life.

What To Eat

Eat a whole foods, plant-based diet. Eating lighter, raw meals is best for killing the parasites off more efficiently and effectively. There are certain foods that kill parasites as well. It’s important to include these powerful foods into your diet to make the cleanse as effective as possible.

Some people like to juice cleanse and parasite cleanse at the same time. This is very intense and may not be suitable for some. A great way to start off would be to eat all raw fruits and vegetables during the day and have your dinner be something warm like a sweet potato, lightly cooked veggies, or some rice. Try to prepare your food at home and don’t dine out.

NO SUGAR! Sugar feeds parasites (and yeast, yuck!). This is what they live for and thrive on. I am not talking about the sugar from fruits either. Fruits are absolutely fine to eat on the cleanse, although we would suggest limiting your intake of the higher sugar fruits and sticking to more alkaline forms, such as lemons and limes.

Specifically, we are talking about avoiding ALL forms of sugar outside of fruit. This includes raw sugar, cane sugar, agave, processed honey, corn syrup and rice syrup. Stay away from these during this healing time.

It’s best to eliminate meat. Protein is very hard to digest. It is best to have little to none. If you are a meat eater, make sure you eat organic and only once daily, without a carbohydrate for optimal digestion.

 

What To Expect

This is not going to be fun so don’t get discouraged if you feel really terrible at first. This is known as a healing crisis. We always get worse before we get better. Just remember this is part of your journey. Hang in there, you will be just fine. ☺

When you are parasite cleansing, things can get pretty rough. The third day is usually the worst. When the parasites die off, they excrete a toxic chemical. This toxic chemical gives off sulfur. So be prepared, this smell is going to be really horrible. Honestly though, I would rather deal with three weeks of terrible smelling gas and bowel movements over a lifetime of pain and discomfort! Think about it!

More water is always the answer. Keep track of how much you are drinking. Stay moving. Go for walks and sweat it out. Meditate and tell yourself how happy you are that you are getting rid of these life-sucking organisms! Also, make sure you rest as much as you need to.

Set an intention for this time. What do you want to accomplish during this cleanse? What is your WHY?

 

The Parasite Cleanse

What you will need:

Herbs that kill the worms:

1. Wormwood

2. Black Walnut

3. Clove

To kill off the full lifecycle of parasites, you must use all three herbs. Black walnut hull and wormwood kill the adults and developmental stages of at least 100 parasites and the cloves kill the eggs.

For best results, buy all three tinctures separately. There is a chemical reaction that takes place when you first combine these three powerful herbs. Some brands sell a combination tincture with all three herbs and there are also dried/powdered forms. These different forms still work, they are just not as potent combined as they are separately.

For best results, take the three herbs in a shot glass filled with water. Drink one full glass of water immediately after this dose.

 

Yerba Prima Great Plains Bentonite Clay

Bentonite Clay helps with detoxification in the digestive tract. It is a natural clay mineral, created from volcanic ash deposits that are millions of years old.

Bentonite Clay has been used for centuries in ancient cultures to cleanse the digestive system. It is important to note that Bentonite Clay is a natural compound that is obtained from Mother Earth. It is not a chemical, supplement, or drug made in a laboratory. We like Yerba Prima Great Plains Bentonite Clay, it’s one of the cleanest and purest clays on the market. You can find it online or in many health food stores (supplement section).

Bentonite Clay has the unique ability to bind herbicides, pesticides, viruses, heavy metals, aflatoxin and other substances that are harmful to the body. The negatively charged ions allow it to bind with positively charged toxins in the body, particularly in the stomach, the small intestine and the colon.

The body does not actually digest the clay nor does it move into the bloodstream. Since toxins are bound to the clay, they are safely excreted from the body when the clay is eliminated through bowel movements.

NOTE: Shake well before using. Take 1 tablespoonful mixed with 8 ounces of liquid once or twice a day on an empty stomach. Make sure to drink additional fluid during the day. We recommend taking your Bentonite Clay one hour after breakfast, or one hour after dinner. You may take the clay twice a day.

It is very important to take the Bentonite Clay because it helps to move toxins out of your body while you are detoxing. The clay will “lessen” your negative symptoms of the actual detox.

Disclaimer: Do not take within 1 to 2 hours of prescription medications. Do not take within 1 hour of food.  DO NOT USE A METAL SPOON WITH THE CLAY. Since it binds to heavy metals, the clay will immediately bind to the spoon and draw the metals INTO your body.

 

Psyllium Husk Fiber

You will take the psyllium husk fiber with the Bentonite Clay. This helps to move everything through your body. The most important thing to note is that you MUST drink enough water with both Bentonite Clay and psyllium husk fiber. If you don’t drink enough fiber, the dead parasites will not move quickly enough through your body, making you feel very ill. Plenty of water is absolutely crucial!

Cleanse Schedule

Week 1

Day 1 – 3

Morning

Step 1: Take 3 drops (not a full dropper full – just 3 drops) of each herb – wormwood, black walnut and clove. Take the drops in a shot glass with water. Chase it will a full glass of water. Please make sure your water is filtered.

Step 2: Eat breakfast after you take your first dose. Your breakfast should be light but enough whole foods to sustain your energy.

Step 3: Wait 1-2 hours.

Step 4: Take the bentonite clay and psyllium husk fiber drink.

  • one shaker cup (not metal)
  • 1 tbsp of bentonite clay
  • 1 tbsp of psyllium husk fiber
  • 8 oz. of water
  • Shake and drink immediately
  • Drink another 8 oz. of water immediately 

Night

Step 1: Take another 3 drops of each herb – Wormwood, black walnut, and clove. Take the drops in a shot glass with water. Chase it will a full glass of water. Please make sure your water is filtered.

Step 2: Eat a light dinner after you take your second dose.

Step 3: Wait 1-2 hours.

Step 4: Take the bentonite clay and psyllium husk fiber drink.

  • 1 shaker cup (not metal)
  • 1 tbsp of bentonite clay
  • 1 tbsp of psyllium husk fiber
  • 8 oz. of water
  • Shake and drink immediately
  • Drink another 8 oz. of water immediately 

Days 4 – 7

Follow the instructions from Days 1 – 3 but up your dosage of the herbs. Try 5-6 drops of each herb. You can lower or increase the dosage depending on how your body is reacting and feeling on the cleanse.

Days 7 – 14

Follow the instructions from your first week but try to increase your dosage a little more.  Try for anywhere from 5-8 drops of each herb.

Days 14 – 21

This is your break week. However, you must take a weekly dose, preferably on Wednesday. Take one dose of the three herbs: wormwood, black walnut and clove (5-8 drops) as well as bentonite clay + psyllium husk. You can do morning or night.

Days 21 – 26

Follow the instructions for Days 7 – 14. You can up the dose a little if you would like.

 

Foods That Kill Parasites

 

Turmeric

Turmeric will knock parasites out with a punch. Grab a bottle of Organifi’s Daily Turmeric Boost.

Papaya

This fruit has a strong capacity to destroy worms, including most intestinal worms and tapeworm.

The seeds of a papaya kill parasites. If you don’t find them palatable you may blend them into smoothies.

Pumpkin seeds

For the freshest pumpkin seeds, remove the seeds from your pumpkin and expose them to air for a few days to dry them out and eat them raw first thing each morning. For a morning tonic, grind the seeds along with watermelon seeds into a powder and take with aloe vera juice on an empty stomach each morning.

Coconut

Coconuts provide the fatty acid, lauric acid. The only other plentiful source of this is from lactating women; breast milk. When ingested, lauric acid is then converted to monolaurin and kills or inactivates protozoa, including several species of ringworm and Giardia lamblia.

Pomegranate seeds

This fruit has a sweet and sour flavor and can be used as a remedy for destroying worms in the intestinal tract.

When in season, eat 1-3 per day.

Raw local honey

Antiviral/antibacterial/antiparasitic.

Garlic

Eat a garlic bud first thing every morning.

Chopping or crushing fresh garlic converts the phytochemical alliin to allicin, to which many of garlic’s health benefits are attributed.

Greens + green juice

Eat as much greens as possible.

Lemon

Alkalizes and detoxifies the body.

Ginger

Kills parasites and aids in digestion.

Bitter Melon

It is one of the most popular vegetables in Asia but an acquired taste for most westerners. In Chinese medicine, bitter foods drain ‘damp’ conditions such candida overgrowth and parasites.
