Carrots Aren’t The Only Veggie Healthy For Your Eyesight

We have all heard that carrots are good for our eyes, but very little has been said about spinach and how perfect it is for our eyesight.

Spinach has so many benefits for the body; it improves your blood pressure, maintains healthy skin and hair and improves your bone health.

Recently, there has been a discovery that spinach is good for maintaining and improving your eyesight.

Spinach Can Improve Your Eyesight

Spinach is very rich in vitamin E and C, beta-carotene, folate and other nutrients. Adding spinach to your diet can help repair all the damage that could be found in your eyes, resulting in your eyesight and sensitivity improving greatly.

Aging in particular affects your eyes in a very consistent way, but eating fresh spinach on a daily basis can revert the aging process of your eyes, keeping your eyes healthy and strong.

Age-related macular degeneration has been connected to low eyesight. As you get older, your eyesight tends to deteriorate, but spinach could be the link to solve this issue.

Age-Related Macular Degeneration

Age-related macular degeneration affects the macula, which is the inner part of the retina. The retina is responsible for boosting the delicate photoreceptors in your eyes as well as aiding in filtering excessive amounts of light entering into the eyes that could cause severe damage. This can cause eyesight deterioration and even blindness.

The retina is protected using an outer pigment called lutein that is responsible for absorbing UV light and the strong wavelengths that are damaging to the eye. Lutein has an antioxidant property that enables it to maintain the health of the eye.

The only way to get lutein is from your diet and that is where spinach comes into play.

You could see the results of spinach improving your eyesight within only a few months. You can add spinach to all of your meals. However, drinking a spinach juice can be the best way to enjoy all the nutrients of spinach.

Juicing Spinach

Drinking at least 4 ounces of spinach every day can be a great way to improve your eyesight. If you make eating spinach a habit, then you could enjoy good eyesight all the time.

Lack of good sight can be troublesome in your day to day activities. Most of the tasks you perform on a daily basis involve using your eyes. You need to read texts, emails or your newspaper, etc. Without good eyesight, you will definitely miss out on very important details of your life, including the beautiful nature that we have.

Here is a great spinach juice recipe that will help you get the required amount of spinach that you need to improve and maintain your eyesight.

During my FitLife transformation, I lost 70 pounds! That's why I signed up for the protocol, but the most exciting result is that I found ME in the process. I had been hiding under a pile of pounds, self-doubt, and grief! FitLife changed my life and I knew I had to share it with others.

-Lynne, Longwood FL

I started with Fitlife back in 2011-2012…I wrote into Fitlife asking for an extreme amount of help. I was 300 pounds, with high cholesterol, and Drew helped me transform my life. I lost over 130 pounds and I no longer have high cholesterol. Not only did I lose weight, so did my husband, who lost over 70 pounds!
