Are you ready for a change?

But you have NO idea where to begin and can’t afford a life or health coach…

I hear you! Coaching can be expensive. Sure, people say that if you really want it, you will find a way to pay for it. There is some truth to that. But I completely understand if you simply don’t feel that you are in the position to pay thousands of dollars for a good coach and the good news is, you may not have to.

Transformation is within your reach. You’d be surprised at the powerful potential you already have within you to make these changes you desire, a reality!

One word: READ.

Here at FitLife.tv, we are committed to bringing you the best and the latest tips and tools to help keep your body, mind and soul healthy. And we’re excited to guide and support you on your personal journey.

The bookstores are FULL of books on health, healing, personal development and spirituality. It can be difficult to find the books that will be worth your while given so many choices.

That’s why we are giving you a list of the top 10 books you absolutely MUST read to have the best year ever (be sure to read to the end for some additional BONUS tips)!

#10. Stephen A. Covey: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People – Powerful Lessons in Personal Change.

This book is considered a classic in the world of personal development. It offers a holistic, integrated and principle-centered approach that you can use to solve both your personal and professional challenges. The book offers principles on living with integrity, honesty and human dignity and advice on how to find and take advantage of opportunities that create true change.

#9. Debbie Ford: The Dark Side of the Light Chasers.

Light doesn’t exist without darkness. If you stand on the sun, you will see your shadow. This is the same for personal development and healing: the more you live your life in the light, the more you will notice your shadow as well. When you see your shadow self, you may get sad, angry, or ashamed and want to reject or stop this ‘bad quality’ or ‘ugly part’ of you.

This book explains that your shadow self is just as an important part of you as all other parts. It helps you to learn to accept, to embrace and to love your shadow self.

#8. Louise L. Hay: You Can Heal Your Life.

Louis Hay is the uncrowned queen of affirmations and healing ourselves with our minds. If you are interested in creating health and happiness in your life using the power of your thoughts, you absolutely have to read this book. You Can Heal Your Life can help you learn how to reprogram your brain to heal yourself and to heal your life.

#7. Geneen Roth: Women, Food, and God.

Despite its title, this books should be read by everyone: women and men equally. No, this is not only for those with serious eating disorders or food addictions, but for anyone who eats.

This book explains how the way you eat is related to and, in fact, is inseparable with  your core beliefs about yourself and your life. Your relationship with food is the mirror of your life: your feelings about yourself, your relationships, love, anger, trauma, happiness, sadness, fear and even God or the Universe. This book provides a lot of ‘aha moments’ and can help you to fall in love with yourself and food again.

#6. Dan Harris: 10% Happier.

10% Happier shows you the way to happiness. The steps were discovered by Dan Harris through his personal experiences. The message of the book is that it only takes 10% to create a true difference in your life.

This is an especially awesome book if you are interested in mindfulness and meditation, as these are the main tools Dan Harris is sharing with you. Even if you are skeptical, I bet that once you read it, you will be a convert and start meditating regularly.

#5. Gail Brenner: The End of Self-Help: Discovering Peace and Happiness Right at the Heart of Your Messy, Scary, Brilliant Heart.

This title is not simply a “buy this book” catchy title, but truly sums up the book. As a psychologist and coach, Gail Brenner searched for happiness everywhere for endless years, until she finally found it right in front of her.

This book explains that you don’t need to fix yourself, you are wonderful as you are and it helps you to accept yourself the way you are. So what’s the big secret? It is not a big secret, actually. As many leaders and healers have said before, being in the present moment is your answer and your way to happiness. This book helps show you how to get there.

#4. Viktor Frankl: Man’s Search for Meaning.

Man’s Search for Meaning is not a self-help book and not even a spiritual teaching book like most of the books on this list. Viktor Frankl was a psychiatrist and also a Holocaust survivor. The book is not only about his personal struggle during his imprisonment in Auschwitz, but about our universal need for meaning and purpose in life. He believes that he and those who’ve survived Auschwitz or other concentration camps didn’t do so because they were healthier, fitter, or stronger, but because they simply found meaning in their existence while imprisoned as well as a purpose for their life.

If you are reading this, you are likely not suffering such terror as Frankl did, but his research findings, theories and messages are universal. Reading this book can truly help you understand why true meaning and purpose is so important for you to live a happy, healthy and meaningful life.

#3. Don Miguel Ruiz: The Four Agreements.

This book is absolutely non-negotiable. I have never met a single person whose life wasn’t changed by reading it. This book explains how your self-limiting beliefs can take away your joy and lead to unnecessary suffering. Following these powerful, yet simple steps, your life can transform and you can experience more freedom, happiness and love than ever before.

#2. Eckhart Tolle: The Power of Now.

This is a beautiful and intriguing book on the beauty of being in the present moment. It encourages you to leave your analytical mind behind, forget about your ego, your false created self, your masks and your fears. By being in the present you can be connected to your true essence, our collective being and life as it truly is. The present can only be beautiful and this books explains it so well.

#1. Elizabeth Gilbert: Big Magic.

Elizabeth Gilbert became famous through her popular book, Eat, Pray, Love where she shared her personal self-discovery after a painful divorce through traveling to Italy, India and Bali. Big Magic is very different. It is not a personal story, but more of a guide. It is also not a how-to self help book and is much more than just inspiration.

For me, it is the Bible of a Creative Soul. I am not joking: it can help you face all your fear, doubts and concerns, allows no BS or excuses, but instead inspires and motivates you to go for your dreams NOW. It is not only for artists. Everyone is a creative soul – yes, that includes you, my dear. Life is a creative work of art and you are alive, aren’t you?

BONUS TIPS:

If you hiring a life coach is not in your budget right now, you can still:

  • Buy a guide for a coaching program. For those who are on a tight budget, I have released the guide to my popular 21-day mind-body-soul transformational cleanse program.

Though you will not be receiving bonus gifts, bonus booklets, community support and coaching support from me, you will be receiving the detailed program guide that participants normally get. If you are ready to change your life, this is all you need to get started.

  • Start journaling. There are so many ways to journal. You can write morning pages – 3 pages of reflection in the morning. You can write gratitude journals, jotting down what you are grateful for every day. You can also use guided questions, journaling prompts and other journaling techniques.

365 Days of Journaling is an incredibly affordable journaling ebook with 365 + 1 journaling prompts covering 13 areas of your life to bring about true transformation.

  • Join a group coaching program. Group coaching still costs more than a book, but is much cheaper than a one-to-one coaching program. You will also be part of a supportive community, which is priceless.

Fitlife offers Transformational Coaching Packages. And some pretty incredible supplements to help you on your journey. Check out the store for more info.

  • Keep your body healthy. If your body is healthy, your mind is happy too. Drink your green juice and eat your greens. If you are too busy, the Organifi Green Juice Powder is a great option. It literally take 10 seconds to mix it up – and it tastes SO good!

While you are at it, take some probiotics for gut health – Biotic Balance is a good choice with 50 Billion (with a B!) good bacteria! Don’t forget to exercise and get enough sleep either, those are both necessary for your health as well.

Do you have any book recommendations or lifestyle tips for those who are seeking more health, happiness and balance in their lives? What do you do to keep your body healthy? I am personally powered by Organifi. How about you? Share below, let’s swap ideas!

What Our Clients Say*

During my FitLife transformation, I lost 70 pounds! That's why I signed up for the protocol, but the most exciting result is that I found ME in the process. I had been hiding under a pile of pounds, self-doubt, and grief! FitLife changed my life and I knew I had to share it with others.

-Lynne, Longwood FL

I started with Fitlife back in 2011-2012…I wrote into Fitlife asking for an extreme amount of help. I was 300 pounds, with high cholesterol, and Drew helped me transform my life. I lost over 130 pounds and I no longer have high cholesterol. Not only did I lose weight, so did my husband, who lost over 70 pounds!
