You can tell a lot about what’s going on inside your body by what is happening on the outside. Like how smelly feet can be a sign of one thing, pimples and acne on different areas of your face can tell you a number of things as well.
But what about pimples and acne on other parts of your body?
They’re more than just a nuisance to many people. These breakouts can actually tell you that something is going on inside of you that needs attention.
Breakouts On Your Scalp
Have you ever washed your hair and felt a painful bump? These painful bumps are more than just pimples. It is actually an inflammatory reaction around the hair follicles and the sebum follicles.
Your scalp could be sensitive to chemicals that are used in hair products. Environmental conditions such as hot weather can even cause these bumps to occur. Dandruff is also a culprit, it can affect the oil production in your scalp, which can ultimately cause these bumps to form.
To fix this issue, it is best to stick with a gentle anti-dandruff shampoo and conditioner or you can create your own natural shampoo and conditioner.
Breakouts On Your Back
Having acne on your back can be embarrassing during the summer when you’re wearing swimsuits and tank tops. Just as you can break out on your face because of clogged pores, pores on your back can also become clogged and cause acne.
You may break out from body lotion, sunscreen and even wearing tight clothing. Other reasons that could cause you to break out on your back can be stress, an unhealthy diet and hormonal changes.
To fight against back acne, dilute 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with 1 cup of water. Apply the mixture to the affected areas on your back. Leave the mixture on for 10 minutes, then rinse off with warm water. Apply a light, water-based moisturizer. Repeat these steps 2 or 3 times each day until the areas are clear.
Breakouts On Your Butt
This is probably one area that you don’t pay much attention to, but nonetheless it can be embarrassing and even painful. The acne on your behind is not actually acne, but folliculitis, which is a condition that occurs when bacteria becomes trapped in your hair follicles.
It can be caused by having dry skin, which makes it easier for your pores to become clogged. They can also be caused by wearing tight clothes that trap sweat and bacteria. Even sweat along can enter your pores and become trapped.
To remedy acne on your behind, use coconut oil. Coconut oil has antifungal and antibacterial properties that can help remove that acne fast. Simply soak a cotton pad in coconut oil and dab it on the affected areas. Let the coconut oil stay on your skin overnight.
