Apple Cider Vinegar: A Miracle Medicine For Many Ailments
Written by: Lindsay Sibson
I am a super thrifty person. I love a good deal and getting the most “bang for my buck.”
Long ago, I decided that adventures are more valuable to me than stuff will EVER be. So, I simplified my life in every single aspect… even my health.
I am a naturally curious person that loves to learn, so I am constantly exploring and trying new health related “things.” Since I choose to spend most of my money on travel, I do my best to get creative when it comes to getting the MOST health benefits for the least amount of money.
One of the “things” that I’ve found to have incredible and abundant positive influences on my health and well being is apple cider vinegar.
For a mere $5 (for raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar), this liquid gold can be used for a variety of reasons that will enhance your health and make you feel GREAT!
WHAT is apple cider vinegar (ACV)? It is a fermented juice from crushed apples that has vitamins and minerals. It can be used to help rid the body of toxins, fight infection and slow the aging process!
This is a MUST have in your kitchen, because it helps in the following ways:
Not only is apple cider vinegar extremely useful and beneficial for your health, but it can also be used around the house as well as in your beauty routine!
Here are some more ideas of HOW you can use ACV:
- Household Cleaning: It is one of the best natural cleaning agents due to its antimicrobial properties. Mix 1 part ACV, 1 part water and a few drops of your favorite essential oil (optional) into a spray bottle.
- Fruit & Veggie Wash: Helps remove pesticides (if you aren’t buying organic foods) and bacteria. Mix 1 tbsp ACV with 1 cup water in a bowl. Soak produce for 5 minutes while lightly stirring. Remove and rinse produce with water. Pat dry with a towel.
- Hair Rinse: Removes buildup and balances the PH level of your scalp. Mix 1-2 tablespoons ACV with 8 ounces of water. Massage into your scalp and hair. Let sit a few minutes then rinse with water.
- Deodorant: Helps kill odor-causing bacteria. Just dab it under your armpits! Do not dilute. Dip a cotton ball or cloth into the ACV and wipe under your arms.
