Does it take forever for you to fall asleep?
Do you wake up feeling frustrated and exhausted from the lack of sleep?
Great news, friend!
I have a proven technique that can help you drift off to sleep within minutes.
Sleep plays a very important role in your life. It allows your busy body and mind to rest and recover. When you are lacking sleep, your health can begin to suffer – your sleep cycle can get thrown off, you can lose ability to focus, you can experience an imbalance hormonally, etc.
If you want to be in a high-performing state during the day, being well-rested helps immensely. If you are struggling to sleep at night, then you are losing precious time that can be spent in deep, restful sleep.
I have had many clients asking me if there was an effective and yet practical method that could send them to sleep within minutes. Here’s how it works:
1. Preparation
First, optimise your comfort. Place yourself in your favorite position, strategically place your pillow and body for maximum comfort.
2. Becoming Present
Take 3 deep breaths, paying 100% to the air flowing in and out of your body; pay attention to the sensation of the air through your nose, all the way to the stomach and out through your mouth.
3. Relaxation Phase
Now, scan your body from head and toe and begin to relax one body part at a time. To do this, focus on each part individually for a few seconds and just allow that part to relax. When you are done, move on to the next part.
4. Repetition
Once you have done one loop, do another loop. Start again from the head and this time be sure to relax parts that you might have missed before.
Tip: If you have trouble relaxing a particular part of your body, I suggest tensing it first and then letting go. Repeat a couple of times. This method can help you to develop a stronger mind-muscle connection, making it easier to relax with every iteration.
The key is to just relax. If you begin to find the process frustrating, STOP. Take a deep breath and start again. Otherwise, this technique may just not be for you, but you got to fully invest yourself in it first to find out. I suggest using this technique over a period of 7 days, because the more you practice, the better you get at it and the easier it will be to fall asleep!
