 1. Sea Buckthorn Oil

 This amazing plant grows typically in dry and sandy areas. Its fruit has been recently rediscovered as superfood because it has high protein, vitamin (especially vitamin A, C, and E), antioxidant, fiber and mineral content.

You can find sea buckthorn fruit and seed oil on the market, but they’re not exactly the same. However, both can be extremely beneficial for your skin. Mixing them together creates a “complete package,” which possesses powerful skin repairing properties. Russians used this oil to help restore nuclear burns. 

The seed oil will not only keep your skin soft, healthy and strong, but it fights free radicals, which ultimately prevent aging and wrinkles.

 The fruit oil can speed up wound repair, whether it be a cut, burn, or any other type of skin damage. It also boosts skin growth and helps with skin irritation.

 2. Black Currant Seed Oil

 This oil is an abundant source for antioxidants, nutrients and gamma-linolenic acid. It has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties as well. It nourishes your dry skin and helps it stay soft and rejuvenated. It prevents wrinkles and improves many skin disorders like eczema, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, etc.

 3. Licorice Root Extract

 Licorice root has more than 150 active compounds in it, including Glycyrrhetinic Acid, Licochalcone-A and Glabridin. Applied on your skin, it works as an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-irritant and hydrating agent. It improves skin regeneration, eliminates bacteria, controls oil production and can restore skin damaged by UV radiation.

This plant is native in Morocco. High in vitamin A and E, it reduces inflammation, moisturizes and tones your skin, helps fight off acne and encourages scars and burns to recover quickly.  5. Gotu Kola Extract

 Gotu kola has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for a long time. Recent studies have shown that it has rich saponin content (triterpenoids – asiaticoside and madecassoside), which boosts collagen synthesis in the skin’s underlying structure. Thanks to this ability, it can restore deep wounds. Due to its amazing anti-inflammatory properties, it alleviates skin disorders like acne, eczema and psoriasis. It has a powerful anti-aging effect, it increases circulation and it can prevent varicose veins.

6. Seaweed, Algae and Kelp Extracts

Curcumin –  turmeric’s main active ingredient – possesses mighty anti-inflammatory and antioxidant powers. It’s antibacterial and antiseptic properties help clear acne and relieve psoriasis and eczema. It inhibits melatonin production, which reduces hyperpigmentation. Turmeric can also be beneficial for wrinkles, stretch marks and burns. It can be used as a face mask and/or a scrub.

Recipe type: DIY
Ingredients
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp chickpea flour
  • A few drops of argan oil
  • A few drops of lemon juice
Instructions
  1. Mix the turmeric powder with the chickpea flour.
  2. Add the oil and lemon juice to make a thick paste.
  3. Apply this mixture on you face and leave it for about 20 minutes.
  4. Wash off with warm water.
Notes
Caution: Don’t do this in white outfit or if you want to go somewhere. Turmeric will leave your face and clothes yellow. While it washes off the skin, it can stain clothing so be careful when using this amazing superfood.
