7 Ways To Beat Acne

Let’s face it: acne can ruin your confidence. And it’s not only about aesthetics, it can also be a sign of some other health problems.
Here are some reasons for why acne can appear and tips for helping it to disappear:
1. Balance Your Hormones
Hormonal imbalances cause acne. Nowadays, while you are surrounded by pesticides, chemicals and xenoestrogens, no matter if you’re a male or a female, your hormones can easily get thrown out of whack.
Avoid trans fats, excess sugar, dairy products, caffeine and alcohol. Eat more healthy fats, like avocados and flax seeds. Also, royal jelly and ashwagandha can be helpful with balancing your hormones. For women, milfoil, mint tea and pomegranate seed oil have great acne-reducing and hormonal-balancing benefits as well.
2. Strengthen Your Stomach Acid
Low stomach acid is linked to acne. When your hydrochloric acid is not strong enough, it can’t break down your food properly and therefore, your digestion system can’t absorb nutrients well enough.
Drink lemon juice or apple cider vinegar before or after your meals. Mix 1 knuckle of grated ginger with a half a lemon juice and Himalayan salt. Take a teaspoon of it once a day before your meal.
Supplementing with or consuming more natural sources of Zinc can help as well.
3. Improve Your Gut Flora
Bacterial imbalances in your gut can lead to chronic inflammation and acne.
Eat more probiotic and prebiotic foods, or take a supplement to improve your gut flora.
Probiotic foods: sauerkraut, kimchi, or other fermented vegetables.
Prebiotic foods feed the good bacteria in your digestive track. Some of these are: raw garlic, chicory root, asparagus, raw and cooked onions, leeks, dandelion greens and bananas.
Vitamins and minerals from fruits and veggies can help your skin to look its best. Juicing is one of the fastest ways to get these nutrients into your system.

5. Aloe Vera
Aloe vera has wonderful medicinal properties. It has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects and boosts skin regeneration.
Use the fresh gel of the aloe plant, or buy 100% aloe vera juice or gel and apply it to your skin, directly on the inflamed/blemishing areas.
6. Hemp Seed Oil
Hemp seed oil doesn’t clog your pores. It has a high linolenic acid content, which can regulate sebum production. It is also high in omega-3 fatty acids.
Apply hemp seed oil on your skin and/or use it internally (also check out the white clay mask below).
7. Lemon Juice
Lemon juice is great at fading acne scars. In addition, it contains high doses of vitamin C, which is a powerful antioxidant; it’ll keep your skin young, smooth and glowing.
Apply lemon juice on your skin in the evening. Wash it off after 20 minutes with warm water.
Use these techniques to beat your acne. You deserve to be the best version of you.
White Clay Mask
- 1 tablespoon of white clay
- Few drops of lemon juice
- 2 drops of tea tree oil
- Few drops of hemp seed oil
Directions: Mix the ingredients together. Use as much lemon juice as you need to get a thick paste. Apply it to your skin. Leave it for 20 minutes, then rinse off with warm water.
