Juicing is much more than liquid salad.

It is the healthiest drink on the planet that is actually delicious too. If you haven’t got on the juicing wagon yet, you have to jump on board now! Your body will absolutely thank you for it!

What Is Juicing?

Juicing is a process where you extract the liquid from vegetables and fruits while leaving all the pulp and fiber out.

When you are juicing, it is important to make green juices with lots of greens and veggies. Fruit juices are high in sugar and can mess with your blood sugar. Green juices, on the other hand, keep your blood sugar steady.

Green juices are also high in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, yet low in calories. They can give your digestion a break, cleanse your body, alkalize your system, hydrate your cells and help to prevent and remedy illness.

How To Make Delicious Juice With Vegetables

First, you need a juicer. If you don’t have a juicer, you can use a blender or food processor to create a smoothie, then strain the juice through a strainer or nut milk bag.

Next you need the following ingredients:

  • A base: Pick some water-rich vegetables, such as cucumber or celery, or some sweet tube veggies, such as beets or carrots.
  • Greens: Spinach, kale, collard greens, bok choy and lettuce are excellent choices.
  • More veggies: Add more veggies as you wish, such as broccoli or peppers.
  • Some sweetness: Remember, you don’t need to add too much. A half an apple or pear is plenty.
  • Lemon: Lemon adds some vitamin C, digestion benefits and cleansing properties and helps with the ‘green taste.’
  • Herbs and spices: Ginger, turmeric, parsley and mint are great choices.

7 Best Vegetable Juicing Recipes

Transformation Weight Loss Juice

Ingredients:

  • 5 stalks celery
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1-2 inches turmeric
  • 2 cups leafy greens
  • 1 handful parsley
  • 1 apple
  • 1 avocado

 

Instructions: Juice all ingredients except the avocado. The pour the juice in a blender, add the avocado and blend until smooth. Drink immediately.

Delicious Detox Green Juice

Ingredients:

  • 2 green apples
  • 2 cups pineapple
  • 2 lemons
  • 3 cups spinach
  • 1 cup kale
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1/2 cup parsley

 

Instructions: 

  1. Wash all of your ingredients.
  2. Peel the pineapple and lemons (and apples if not organic)
  3. Chop the fruit and the put everything through the juicer.
  4. Enjoy!

Mean Green Juice

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups coconut milk
  • 1 green apple, cored and chopped
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/4 cup mint, chopped
  • 1/4 cup spinach, stems removed
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 5 Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1 cup ice

 

Ingredients:

  1. In a high speed blender, add the coconut milk and avocado and blend on a low speed.
  2. Juice all the remaining ingredients.
  3. Combine blended and juiced mixtures and blend on low until smooth.
  4. Add more ice cubes or coconut milk to reach desired consistency.
  5. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Green Juice for Flat Belly

Ingredients:

  • 1 large green apple
  • 1 large cucumber
  • 1 large lemon (with skin)
  • 1 lime (with skin)
  • 2 small mandarins (with skin)
  • 1 head romaine lettuce
  • 1 inch ginger

 

Instructions: Run all ingredients through your juicer and enjoy.

Spinach and Kale Juice

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 cup kale
  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1 handful cilantro
  • 5-10 basil leaves
  • 2 green apples

 

Instructions: Process all ingredients through juicer and enjoy!

The Cleaner Greener Juice

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup kale, stems removed
  • 1/2 cup spinach
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1 cup green grapes, seedless
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 green apple
  • 1/2 lime, rind removed
  • 1/2 lemon, rind removed
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves

 

Instructions: Process all ingredients through juicer and enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 cup basil
  • 2 green apples
  • 1 lime
  • 1/2 cup mint
  • 1 inch ginger root
