6 Tips To Lose Weight That Have Nothing To Do With Calories
By Lilla Bessenyei
Everybody would like to lose weight effortlessly. Though these methods won’t make miracles just by themselves, combined with a good diet plan and a consistent exercise routine, they can help you to maximize your results.
These are my top tips to get slimmer without counting your calories:
Gaining weight won’t increase your number of fat cells, they will only get bigger and store more material. Fat cells store toxins. These toxins are acidic. Increasing your PH level, AKA alkalizing, helps your body to neutralize toxins. In this way, your fat cells will shrink and you will lose weight as a result.
Drinking baking soda or juices are great ways to alkalize your body.
2. Kombucha Tea
My massage therapist advised me to drink kombucha tea. She said that “this fungus eats the toxins in your body” and that every time she gets joint pain, she drinks a glass of it and the next day she feels so much better. Also, she mentioned that one of her friends drank it every day and he lost 17 pounds without any diet change.
Kombucha is a probiotic beverage, it helps your digestion and restores your gut flora.
Drink a few ounces of kombucha tea every day.
3. Fasted Cardio
Fasted cardio can burn up to 20% more fat than doing it during the day. HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) in the morning can be particularly effective for burning more fat during the day as well.
Plan your exercise routine to be first thing in the morning. Though it may be hard in the beginning, it will pay off later. You will not only burn more fat, but you will also feel more energized throughout the day and be more likely to not skip your workouts.
4. Intermittent Fasting
Intermittent fasting has many health benefits. It consists of a longer fasting period (14-20 hours) and a shorter feeding period. Fasting helps you to normalize insulin sensitivity, regulate ghrelin levels, increase growth hormone secretion and decrease inflammation, triglyceride levels and oxidative stress. It also boosts your mental clarity.
I usually keep my fasting period about 18 hours long. It sounds tough, but you can get used to it within a few weeks. Many people look at intermittent fasting as one of their greatest weight loss secrets.
Sodium chloride (AKA table salt) is linked to increased water retention. 1g of sodium can hold up to 100 times more water weight.
Reduce your salt intake. Use potassium salt (it has a lowered sodium and increased potassium content), use celery powder, tomato sauce, herbs, or try to enjoy cooking completely salt-free.
Also, diuretic foods like ginger or dandelion greens can reduce the excess water weight.
6. Beat Emotional Stress
Stress increases your cortisol (the stress hormone) levels, which break up your muscle tissue and increase your body fat. When you suppress your emotions, you’re unconsciously putting yourself through continuous underlying stress.
Try to go deep if there’s any type of known, suppressed or repressed emotion in your heart, something you couldn’t deal with in your past. If you feel too weak to heal your old wounds, search for help. You will open the doorways to becoming slimmer, fitter and happier than ever.
Use these tips to be the best version of yourself. You deserve a happy and healthy life.
