I was talking to my good friend, Kaitlyn the other day. She told me she was struggling with finding more INSPIRATION in her life.
This is actually a common trap that a lot of people fall into!
One day, they are bursting with inspiration and ready to start something new and exciting or raise their life to a new level…
But then a few days down the road… they wake up and feel unmotivated and uninspired.
So how do you keep that fire burning? How do you wake up everyday and find the inspiration to continue living an amazing, abundant, fulfilling life? Where does inspiration even come from?
5 Ways To Continuously Be Inspired
Here are some powerful ways to find inspiration on a regular basis and keep your inner fire burning!
#1 Write A Love List
“Focus on the powerful, euphoric, magical, synchronistic, beautiful parts of life, and the universe will keep giving them to you.” – Unknown
Sit down for 25 minutes and write down everything that you love.
By doing this you will start to focus on what you love instead of what you lack.
There is a powerful universal law that most people have heard about but few people take advantage of. It is this:
You will get MORE of or attract what you FOCUS ON.
If you are constantly focused on the negative aspects of your life… or what you lack… or what you feel is wrong with the world… you will just keeping seeing more and more of that in your life.
If, however, you make the effort to change your perspective and instead focus on the things you LOVE about your life, you will start to see more and more of those things.
I dare you to try it!
#2 Do The Opposite
“If you really want success, start doing the opposite of what everyone else is doing.” – Brad Szollose
This might be a challenge for a lot of you. I get it! As humans, we are naturally creatures of habit.
Don’t believe me? Think about work meetings… or going to church… or going to a restaurant you love… do you tend to sit in the same place every time? Order similar food?
There is a common trend that happens when we are feeling UNINSPIRED.
When I am not inspired, I usually feel inclined to sit around at home, alone, reading a book or watching a show.
What do I do instead? Challenge myself to do the opposite. If I feel like staying in, I go out. Even if I have no one to go out with! I don’t mind being by myself, I actually like it. 🙂 I try to connect with other people outside of my norm and guess what? I always seem to have a good time.
So if you feel like being bored and lonely, do the opposite.
Sometimes inspiration will strike you when least expected.
#3 Loosen Up
“As long as you can laugh at yourself, you will never cease to be amused.” – Unknown
Trust me when I say… you are taking yourself WAY too seriously!
When you learn to laugh at yourself and your mistakes, life is going to get A LOT more fun. Plus, when you are TOO serious it puts a cork in the flow of inspiration.
Spend some time laughing every day. Personally, I think if you’re not laughing every 35 minutes each day than you need to find more things to laugh about!
Something else this helps with…
People often don’t feel inspired because they don’t feel good enough. They are spending so much energy beating themselves down that there’s no room for inspiration to come.
Let me tell you… you are a miracle in the flesh! Your body produces 50 trillion cells every single second! You are absolutely unique. YOU matter.
Life isn’t meant to be so hard. Loosen up.
#4 Do something Unusual And Fun
“Do not be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Want to know what one of my favorite hormones is? DOPAMINE. It is the natural drug of inspiration! Dopamine floods the body when you do new things and when you are HAPPY and having fun.
Do something you’ve never done before. Something FUN. Maybe just a little wild. Maybe you’re one of those people who likes to feel SAFE. That’s okay. But don’t let it hold you back from the incredible rush of trying new things!
#5 Do Something Creative
“You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” – Maya Angelou
But don’t I need to be inspired first?
No! Often the ACT of creativity will trigger inspiration. Start being creative… start painting… start writing… put yourself in a creative space. This will make your right brain will take over and when this happens, inspiration will often flow without effort.
#Bonus: MOVE WITH SPIRIT
“Be weird. Be random. Be who you are. Because you never know who would love the person you hide.” – Unknown
This one is deep so stay with me.
There is an incredible power in knowing who you are.
When was the last time you spent some quality time with yourself? Not distracting yourself with a show or an activity, but actually spending time with yourself. Maybe journaling for 20 minutes. Or spending a good half hour in meditation. Or just taking yourself out to eat!
Some people don’t like spending time with themselves because they don’t realize how great they are! I challenge you to learn about yourself like you are an outsider. Treat yourself like you would a new exciting friend.
Inspiration is not an everyday thing. Inspiration comes in seasons. And that’s okay.
Implement at least ONE of these things every single day. Then leave a comment and let me know how it makes you feel.
You are made for greatness.

During my FitLife transformation, I lost 70 pounds! That's why I signed up for the protocol, but the most exciting result is that I found ME in the process. I had been hiding under a pile of pounds, self-doubt, and grief! FitLife changed my life and I knew I had to share it with others.

I started with Fitlife back in 2011-2012…I wrote into Fitlife asking for an extreme amount of help. I was 300 pounds, with high cholesterol, and Drew helped me transform my life. I lost over 130 pounds and I no longer have high cholesterol. Not only did I lose weight, so did my husband, who lost over 70 pounds!
