5 Reasons To Always Believe That Everything Happens For A Reason

“You are on a sinking ship. You should get off now.”

I was a few months into what I thought would be a “dream job.” I was 27 years old, the Director of a Brain Training Center, living in Southern California and felt like BIG things were about to happen in my life.

Until… the executive who hired me (and 4 other directors) suspected that the owner of the company was committing insurance fraud and decided to leave town and never look back.

It was CHAOS. A lot of confusion, worrying, doubt, more confusion and eventually, everyone quit… BUT ME.

I stuck it out and experienced one of the toughest, roughest, most anxiety-ridden years of my life until I finally resigned.

Fast forward 5 years later and my life is completely different – and is more of a reflection of the type of life that I WANT (adventurous, spontaneous, authentic, full of traveling).

I now realize that my tough experience at that job was preparing me for my future. I learned to communicate better, be more straightforward, clearly express my opinions, needs and desires and to stay calm and rational (even when everyone else was freaking out!).

Everything that happened… it had all happened for a reason.

5 Reasons To Always Believe That Everything Happens For A Reason

1. In Times Of Struggle: As the saying goes, “What doesn’t challenge you doesn’t change you.” In times of strife and struggle, you are pushed to learn, grow and evolve. Just like a caterpillar changes into a butterfly, you too can emerge from a challenging time as a stronger and wiser person.

2. In Times Of Healing: Your heartbeat reads as a series of peaks and valleys. Your life is your heartbeat and it will always have its ups and downs. It’s in times of loss and grief that you are exposed to important life lessons and wisdom – and you are able to recognize what is truly important in your life.

Always remember:

Without loss, you wouldn’t appreciate gain.

Without grief, you wouldn’t appreciate love.

Without death, you wouldn’t appreciate life.

Without fear, you wouldn’t appreciate love.”

3. In Times Of Happiness: In moments of pure joy, it is effortless to develop a supreme sense of clarity and realize that the circumstances and choices you have made in your life have led you to THIS moment. And THIS moment is exactly how it should be. The struggles, the tough decisions you had to make, the effort and hard work… ALL became woven together to create this incredible feeling of happiness.

4. In Times Of Frustration: Sometimes life can feel like a series of one random event after another, like it is all just “happening” to YOU… but you know that is not the case! You create your reality and have a CHOICE each and every day as to how you want to live and experience your life. These daily choices create the purpose and meaning of your life.

“To someone who can’t read, letters on a page appear to be randomly chosen when in reality they are precisely ordered.”  Deepak Chopra

5. In Times Of Reflection: Every morning when you wake up, it is a day in which YOU create your life. Imagine your life as a puzzle and each day you create a new puzzle piece. As the pieces join together, a beautiful image appears. Similarly, as the days, weeks, months and years of your life go by, memories come together to create a beautiful story – YOUR story. When you reflect back on your life, you realize that each moment (whether good or bad, happy or sad) had a place in your history and have molded you into the person you are in this present moment.

“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something – your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down and it has made all the difference in my life” – Steve Jobs

What Our Clients Say*

During my FitLife transformation, I lost 70 pounds! That's why I signed up for the protocol, but the most exciting result is that I found ME in the process. I had been hiding under a pile of pounds, self-doubt, and grief! FitLife changed my life and I knew I had to share it with others.

-Lynne, Longwood FL

I started with Fitlife back in 2011-2012…I wrote into Fitlife asking for an extreme amount of help. I was 300 pounds, with high cholesterol, and Drew helped me transform my life. I lost over 130 pounds and I no longer have high cholesterol. Not only did I lose weight, so did my husband, who lost over 70 pounds!
