Fall is here, winter is coming and the colder season illnesses are becoming more common, increasing your chances of getting sick.

The result of frequent use and overuse of antibiotics is devastating and lead to ruined digestive systems and lowered immunity.

That’s right, antibiotics can lower your immunity, increasing your chances of being sick again, then being prescribed more antibiotics just to compromise your immune system even more… it’s a vicious cycle.

A drop under your tongue can help and often stop colds and throat infections. Oil of oregano pills are great for stomach problems, including traveller’s diarrhea. You can buy it at a health food store or online. Make sure to buy a good brand, rather than cheaper varieties, as they tend to be more potent.

#4. Echinacea

Echinacea has been used for hundreds of years to aid a variety of illnesses and infections, including blood poisoning, open wounds, diphtheria and all sorts of bacterial illnesses. It is highly effective fighting colds and flu and is able to destroy the staphylococcus aureus bacteria that can cause MRSA.

It can be found at health food stores and pharmacies and is often included in supplements combined with other vitamins and minerals.

Manuka honey – and basically all other organic and raw honey – is an incredibly potent and natural antibiotic. It is also incredibly tasty and sweet. You can apply it topically on wounds and skin infections to kill flesh-eating bacteria.
