5 Incredible Juice Recipes To Ease Allergies

As someone who has suffered from seasonal and environmental allergies my whole adult life, I get positively giddy when I find a method to treating my allergies without prescriptions or over the counter drugs. Don’t get me wrong – there are times when I think those are quite necessary and beneficial. But the power of food fascinates me and the fact that I can treat what’s bringing me down with simple changes to my diet not only makes me feel great, but it costs me less in the long run too!

One of the great things about juicing for allergies is that juice packs a vitamin punch without making me feel full, which is great for those times when I am in an “allergy fog” – cloudy headed, no appetite, itchy eyes or skin. In fact, it usually perks me right up like a natural espresso shot without the jitters!

So without further ado, here are my top 5 favorite juice recipes for allergies. Give them a try and let me know what you think!

Pink Parsley
 
The apple will help with asthmatic reactions, carrots are a great immune booster, beets and parsley both are great detoxifiers and digestion aids!
Ingredients
  • 1 apple
  • 3 carrots
  • 2 beets
  • 1 handful of parsley
Instructions
  1. Prepare all the ingredients.
  2. Mix them all in the juicer.
  3. Enjoy your juice!

The Allergy Bomb
 
This juice will help clear out any congestion in your lungs and sinuses. The ginger is a great tummy-tamer and will help with any stomach upsets. It can be a little strong for some, so you can also add a teaspoon of local raw honey. (Fun tip: Local honey aids in hay-fever because the bees make honey out of pollen in your area and studies have shown that this will help provide a boost to your immune system when fighting seasonal allergies.) If it is still too strong, add a little water to dilute!
Ingredients
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 green apple
  • 1 head (about 1 ½-2 cups) of parsley
  • 2 lemons, peeled
  • 1 small handful of fresh mint
  • 1 knob of ginger
Instructions

Sweet Drop
 
This one is great for easing the effects of food allergies and the aftermath of accidental ingestions, as well as helping repair gut health and restore good bacteria. The fennel is an interesting smell and taste that takes some getting used to, but it helps create an intestinal environment that is difficult for bad bacteria to live in.
Ingredients
  • 2 apples
  • 2 oranges
  • ½ fennel
  • 1 or 2 knobs of ginger
Instructions

Citrus Fire
 
This will help restore immunity and gut health and is one of my favorites in the winter because the heat that the ginger brings.
Ingredients
  • 1 grapefruit
  • 2 blood oranges (regular oranges will do if you don’t have blood oranges)
  • 1 lemon, peeled
  • 1 knob of ginger
  • 1 beet
Instructions
  1. Prepare all the ingredients.
  2. Mix them all in the juicer.
  3. Enjoy your juice!

Allergies Away
 
Ingredients
  • 3 celery ribs
  • 2 apples
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 lemon, peeled
  • 1 cup parsley leaves
Instructions
  1. Prepare all the ingredients.
  2. Mix them all in the juicer.
  3. Enjoy your juice!

This one has everything you need to kick allergy symptoms to the curb. Vitamins A and C, blood detoxifiers, tummy tamers, decongestants, you name it!
