Creativity is one of the most important parts of having a successful life. The reason I make such a bold statement is because, if it weren’t for creativity, I would still be doing the same things I was doing before and expecting different results. Some people say that is the definition of insanity.
Running into a problem and then searching for new ways to solve it is using creativity. It is looking for the opportunities and lessons within the struggles and strategically finding new ways to succeed. Creative people make good leaders, inspire others, take charge of their own lives and find the most interesting ways to live their lives to the fullest.
Creativity is used in art, engineering, inventing, adventuring, traveling, cooking, recycling, communication, exercise, healing and countless other activities. Creativity is adding new ingredients to your life to change it up, improve it and make it better for yourself and those around you.
Our creativity comes from our passions, heart, soul, brains and body. With all of these different avenues for the natural flow of creativity, there is also many different ways that creativity can be blocked. One of the most powerful ways that you can unlock your creativity is through keeping your mind and body healthy.
One of the easiest ways to keep your mind and body healthy is through eating healthy food and herbs that will boost your creative power. I am going to give you 32 ingredients that you need to add to your life that are sure to boost your creative abilities.
Complex Carbs For Energy Fuel

If you are wanting brain boosting energy that lasts for hours, then you need to make sure that any carb you eat is complex carbs. Simple carbs, such as white pasta, white bread and white rice will burn through you fast, causing a creativity crash.
If it helps, see your body as a fire that you need in order to keep your home warm. You need to add the right type of wood that will burn slow and long so that you can follow through with your creative plans. A super hot fire will burn up all your wood too quickly, leaving you cold and out of ideas. That is why you must avoid simple carbohydrates.
Try eating these complex carbohydrates instead:
1. Whole Grain Bread
2. Oats
3. Brown Rice
4. Quinoa
5. Amaranth
6. Barley
7. Spelt
8. Millet
*Note: if you are avoiding gluten, #’s 3, 4, 5 and 8 are okay for you to enjoy. Avoid the others.
