3 Things Your Missing In Your New Year’s Resolutions – Mindset Monday

Why is it that out of all the MILLIONS of people creating fantastic New Year’s Resolutions… only 8% of them are actually successful in achieving them?
Yep. You read that right. According to statistics, only 8% of people who create New Year’s Resolutions actually succeed in achieving them! What in the world is making the statistic so low?
I’ve got a pretty good idea what it is that’s holding people back from reaching their aspirations, and in this post I give you some tips of how to BE in the 8%! Sound good?
First let’s take a look at the most common resolutions people set.

Stop wasting time
Improve a skill
Become more active
Become more confidence
Spend more time with family and friends
Are any of these resolutions similar to yours? Have you set resolutions yet? There are no right or wrong new year’s goals. As long as you create them from an authentic space and they represent true desires for who you want to be, anything goes!
It’s time to shift your MINDSET so that you can hit those resolutions every single year.
There’s not anything wrong with your resolutions themselves. They are just missing some backbone! Here are three things to add to your resolutions to help guarantee success.

Do you have a way to measure whether or not you achieve your goal on a daily/weekly/monthly basis? Do you have a system in place? This is key! If your goal is just “improve my guitar skills” or “improve my appearance”, then you’ve got to be specific at how you will measure that on a regular basis. What specifically are you trying to reach with your goal? Break it down so you know exactly what it is so that you can envision it perfectly.
I would suggest measuring your goals on a weekly basis, and looking through them on a daily basis. Make this a habit. Same time every day and every week.

What’s at stake here? Are you risking anything? Are you accountable?
If you are not risking anything, if you’ve got nothing to lose… when things get hard, I hate to say it but chances are good that you’ll quit! You won’t have any reason to keep going and you’ll just shrug it off.
I don’t know about you, but I want to be in the 8% and even go beyond that.
I know for me personally, I hold myself accountable for you because I care – a lot! We are creating movement that is here to change the world and raise the consciousness of humanity. So for me, every time I feel like quitting, I just think of you and all the lives that have been impacted by this movement.
#3 Support (It’s time for a little accountability)
Do you keep your resolutions a secret because you’re afraid of being embarrassed if you fail?
You need to have friends/family/support people in place to help keep you on track. People on your team will strengthen your resilience when the going gets tough.
