3 Hot New Recipes For Coconut Oil (In The Bedroom!)

Coconut oil is one of the most versatile oils EVER. With attributes that run the gamut (anti-bacterial rockstar, Candida killer, craving crusher, energy booster, leaky gut resolver, great moisturizer, UTI banisher, weight balancer), coconut oil has got some game, baby!

So, even though you could attend a weekend Master Class and dive into the specifics about the fabulous fatty acids found in coconut oil, that’s not why you’re here.

Let’s cut the fluff and get to the really good stuff. Grab your jar of coconut oil and take it to the next level – it’s time to explore 3 amazingly sensual ways to use coconut oil.  We’re talking CO on the Down Low… and it’s all good!

3 simple recipes to inspire your intimate side:

1. Coconut Kiss: Come on, explorer, scoop out a little spoonful of your favorite Virgin Coconut Oil and mix it with an equal amount of raw honey or maple syrup.

Solo, this stuff makes a gorgeous lip treatment; you can add a spoon of sugar and gently exfoliate your lips and skin. Partner up and finger paint a little dab onto your lover’s lips (or wherever you’d like), then kiss it off.  

For extra credit, try mixing in a little cocoa powder or raw cacao powder for a chocolate-coconut delight (p.s. drop any extra by the spoonful on a piece of parchment paper and pop it in the freezer for some tasty homemade chocolate treats)!

2. Coconut Bliss: Drop a dab of coconut oil onto a piece of wax paper, parchment paper or even a plastic bag. Pop that in the freezer until it’s quite solid. Invite your lover to meet you in the kitchen. Use the frozen coconut oil to trace a place on your lover’s body. The cold oil will melt almost instantly, opening up a trail of fun possibilities. Go with it.

Solo, try this cool coconut stick on your cuticles as a killer moisturizer, or go for your own body exploration – self-massage feels great, can stimulate lymph flow and release endorphins, too!   

3. Warm Coconut Drop And Drizzle: This idea is a sizzler! You need 2 heat-safe bowls and your coconut oil to get started (I use a soup bowl and a glass measuring cup). When you’re ready to turn it up a notch, scoop a big tablespoon of your coconut oil into your small bowl. Heat some water to barely boiling and pour a little into your larger bowl. You want to set the smaller bowl into the water without letting any water spill over the side to mix with your oil.  Since your bowls are different than mine, you need to eyeball it for yourself.

The coconut oil will melt really quickly, just as it would if it touched your skin. The BEAUTY of this inspiration is that you’re warming your coconut oil up a little more… a little hotter… but not enough to burn (safety first, love)!

Test your oil by feeling the outside of your water bath bowl. If that feels too hot, then give everything a minute to cool and check again. When the temperature is just right, remove the small bowl and dry the outside.

If you’re game to try the drop and drizzle technique, ask your lover to test the temperature to make sure he/she is comfortable, then try dipping your finger in the oil and allowing the drops to fall onto bare shoulders, calves, the lower back or down the spine… follow the trail with your hands and share a lovely light massage. Drizzle a little warm oil on your partner’s belly and gently rub it in using a clockwise motion, starting at the left hipbone and working inward toward the belly button.

This technique is also delightful on the forehead, cheekbones and earlobes, oh my! Solo? No problemo! Try this on yourself for an amazingly loving, gentle, spa-like treat. You deserve it!

BONUS TIP!

I LOVE essential oils almost as much as I love coconut oil. Playing and pairing them together is not only fun, but it smells great and has the added benefit of aromatherapy as well as the natural medicinal power of the essential oils!

Try adding a drop or two of your favorite pure essential oil to your exploratory concoctions. Here are a few of my favorites:

  • Cinnamon is a warming, spicy, sweet essential oil. It needs to be kept away from sensitive parts and eyes though, because it will burn!
  • Peppermint makes a nice cooling addition, but needs to be kept away from sensitive parts and eyes as well, because it will smart!
  • Lavender is a skin-loving oil that will ramp up the relaxation factor while also smelling great.
  • Roman Chamomile is light, herbal and lovely. This gentle essential oil is calming and kind to the skin.
  • Rose. Lush and floral, one drop will do for a spa-like treat!
