3 Cheesy Ways to Use Nutritional Yeast (Vegan Friendly)
By Steve Fillmore
Did you know that Nutritional yeast can give your food a cheesy flavor without adding cheese? AND – it’s really healthy for you!
Nutritional yeast is made from vitamin-fortified, inactive yeast with no dairy, gluten, or salt.
Plus, it’s loaded with B vitamins and protein and is also low in calories.
So sprinkle and add it to all of your favorite foods for a little added cheesy flavor. It’s wonderful in place of cheese for pesto too!
Here are 3 easy easy ways to add it to your favorite dishes and stop missing the dairy-laden cheese.
1. Switch Out Parmesan – In a food processor, process equal parts of nutritional yeast and walnuts, then spread it all over your favorite gluten-free pasta or popcorn.
2. Add Some Flavor To Vegetarian Soups – Those vegetarian soups can be pretty bland tasting. Add some nutritional yeast and spice it up with a little Sriracha!
3. Sass Up Your Kale – Kale chips can be pretty boring on their own. Add some sea salt, pepper and nutritional yeast for a tasty upgrade to your palette and your health. You can also add some to beets, carrots and sweet potatoes before baking. Delish!
There you go! Some simple and easy ways to use that cheesy condiment.
