2 Ounces Of This Daily Tonic Keeps Colds and the Flu Away

It’s that time of the year where everyone is trying to avoid icky coughs, sneezing, runny noses and the nasty flu-bug. With all the germs that are being spread this time of year, it’s a wonder why we don’t have mesh bags that we can throw over our heads, allowing us to breathe, while simultaneously catching our germs! Wishful thinking…
While we’re waiting on that creation, I’d like to offer you an alternative and less restricting solution to help you stay healthy this cold/flu season.
Drink Homemade Tonic! It’s simple, natural and perfect for all ages. Just 2 ounces a day, keeps the bugs (cold, flu and other viruses) away!
You’ll want to let your tonic sit for a minimum of 3 days, up to 3 weeks before drinking. Make sure you shake your tonic once or twice daily. Add more apple cider vinegar as veggies expand (About ¾ cup, or enough to allow you to easily shake the veggies. The amount of additional liquid will depend on the size of the mason jar.)
- ¼ cup fresh garlic, chopped
- ¼ cup fresh onion, chopped
- ¼ cup fresh grated ginger root
- ¼ cup fresh grated turmeric root (if you can find fresh)
- ¼ cup fresh grated horseradish root
- ¼ cup fresh cayenne peppers, chopped (or any hot peppers in season)
- Raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar
- Fill a large glass mason jar ¾ of the way full with equal parts of the chopped and grated herbs.
- Pour raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar over top of herbs to fill jar.
- Be sure lid is on tight and give jar a good shake.
¼ cup portions of herbs is an estimation. Ideally, you want equal parts of all of your herbs. Be sure to use only fresh and preferably organic herbs. This will make your tonic as potent and effective as possible.
Drink 2 ounces of this healing tonic, two (or more) times a day and you’re on your way to kicking cold season right in the booty! And, try not to dilute with water; I know you can handle it straight up!
