10 Reasons You Need Apple Cider Vinegar In Your Life

You probably have a bottle of apple cider vinegar in your cupboard or pantry to use in salad dressings and recipes. It adds a little zip to food.
It can also add a little wellness to your life!
Apple cider vinegar has been used as a medicine dating back to 5000 BC. Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, prescribed ACV for a variety of ailments, including coughs and colds.
The difference between organic apple cider vinegar with the mother and regular apple cider vinegar? Regular ACV is distilled, which actually ends up removing many of the nutrients that make it healthy. ACV with the mother is unfiltered and unprocessed. You can even make your own! In the meantime, HOW is ACV so awesome for your health? Here are just a few ways ACV can give you an incredible healthful boost:
1. Improves Digestion
Reduce bloating and indigestion with 1 teaspoon ACV mixed in 8oz water about 10-15 minutes before a meal. The ACV helps to balance the pH in your body and rev up your natural production of HCl (hydrochloric acid), which helps break down protein. Disease cannot live in an alkaline environment!
2. Regulates Blood Sugar Levels
ACV has an anti-glycemic effect. It blocks the digestion of some starches. This helps to reduce increases in blood sugar while you’re consuming starches.
3. Relieves The Itch And Inflammation Of Hemorrhoids
Ditch the Preparation H and other manufactured creams and wipes. A cotton ball soaked with ACV can relieve anal itch and inflammation caused by hemorrhoids quickly and inexpensively.
4. Kills Bad Breath
The acid in ACV helps to kill the bacteria in your mouth that cause bad breath. The antiseptic properties also help to break down plaque, another cause of bad breath. Simply add a teaspoon to 12-16 oz of lemon water and sip throughout the morning (the lemon water helps with the taste!).
5. Relieves Constipation
Using ACV with the mother can act as a mild laxative. The mother contains probiotics that help to promote healthy digestion. Simply add to water and drink or make it a part of your meals.
6. Helps With Congestion
Antibacterial properties help to reduce infection and break up the mucous in your body. This can help relieve sinus congestion and chest congestion from allergies and colds.
7. Natural Wart Remover
Place a drop or two on a band-aid and cover the wart. Do this until the wart falls off.
8. Relieves Heartburn
Heartburn is caused by low acid levels in the stomach. Air pushes the acid up and out of the stomach, causing discomfort. A tablespoon of ACV can balance the level of acid in your stomach and prevent this from happening.
9. Aids With Sunburns
Too much time in the sun? Relieve sunburn by adding ACV to a bath or simply mix it with water in a spray bottle and mist the burnt skin.
10. Removes Skin Tags And Moles
This is a non-evasive method for removing skin tags and moles. It will take longer, but is a more holistic approach to removal.
Get creative when adding organic apple cider vinegar to your daily wellness. By adding it to lemon water or herbal tea, you can make it easier to consume. Once your taste-buds adjust to the flavor, it becomes much better.
