Occasionally at the Fitlife office, we like to do a 1 day reset. In this blog post, I’m going to layout exactly what you need to do to be successful at the 1 day reset.

When most people start the reset or any juice fast for that matter, they think that it starts the day of.

This is the wrong approach.

The right approach is to properly prepare the night before. If you are doing it for a week in the Alpha Reset, we show you how to prepare and pre-package your juices so that you can be successful.

To start the 1 day reset – here is what you will need.

Grocery List

6 Cucumbers

2 Celery plants

Handful of Kale

8 Lemons

3 Beets

Ginger Knuckle

Cayenne Pepper

Honey

Liver Detox Tea

Now that you have a list of what you need, let’s talk about setting the right intention.

The Right Mindset

Setting the proper intention is key. If this is your first time resetting, it is no joke. You will be challenged and it is not for everyone.

When you do any fast – declare what you want to happen. What and Why are you doing it?

Is it for a health reason, spiritual or just to see what you can do?

There are many reasons why you should do the Alpha Reset or any other juice cleanse.

5 Tips For Cleansing

  1. Start a journal to document this amazing process.
  2. Realize that you’re going to shed what does not serve you both physically and emotionally.
  3. Eat/drink every 3 hours to stabilize your blood sugar.
  4. If you want to boost your detox experience, feel free to get crazy and add some superfoods like spirulina or chlorophyll to your juices or smoothies for extra energy.
  5. Regular bowel movements are important for proper detoxification! If you are not “going” then try drinking senna tea or more lemon water to better support your liver and alkalize your body.

Here is how the day is structured… also, these times are just arbitrary.

6 Am: Wake up have a glass of warm water with lemon, drink a liter of water as well. (I like to add pink salt to this as well, it has over 100 trace minerals that are very important for us to get)

-          Sweat (Exercise is a great way to detox) Did you know 70% of your toxins are stored in your lungs.

The recipe is simple

Mini Cleanse Juice Recipe

You should have this recipe every 3 hours throughout the day.

1 Cucumber

2 Leafs Kale

3 Celery Stalks

1 Lemon

½ Beet

1 Gigner Knuckle

Before bed drink the tea with a little bit of honey and cayenne in it.

Remember, this mini detox should only be done for one day. It’s important to rotate your greens, your body will get used to one and not absorb as many of the nutrients. Also, consult with your doctor before doing any type of reset.

After doing the 1 day reset remember to add apple cider vinegar to your water the next day. This will help press out and clean some of the mucus / toxins that were released during your 1 day cleanse.
